GEORGE LEADS SPARTANS CONTINGENT IN CALIFORNIA

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western’s Nathan George (Coquitlam, B.C.) continued to set a lofty standard for the Spartans track and field team as the second-year sprinter finished amongst the top two in all three of his races in California over the Easter weekend.

George ran the 400m event twice, clocking a time of 47.62 in finishing second at the Long Beach Invitational at Cerritos College and 47.99 in finishing first at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University. He also finished second in the 200m at the Bryan Clay Invitational in a time of 21.58.

George was one of six Spartans performing on the outdoor track this past weekend as Calum Innes (Bearsden, Scotland), Nathan Dunford (Bellingham, Wash.), Emma Nuttall (Edinburgh, Scotland), Hazel Ross (Bishopton, Scotland) and Sabrina Nettey (Surrey, B.C.) were also competing in California.

The Spartans next competition is the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Championships May 1-3 in Rome, Georgia.
