Over $36,000
donated to date!

BC Athletics is happy to support local Food Banks through the Whistler 50 Relay & Ultra.

Each year, a portion of the proceeds from the event is donated to and shared equally amongst the Food Banks of the Sea to Sky corridor. To date, $36,000 has been donated by the Whistler 50!

The association of Athletics / Running with the Food Banks links directly with the need for nutritious food for a healthy and physically active lifestyle. Providing financial support to the Food Banks means that for each dollar donated the Food Banks can buy $3.00 worth of food.

Help by donating non-perishable food!

In addition to BC Athletics’ financial contribution, we encourage participants to bring non-perishable food items for donation. The most needed items are:

  • Canned meats, soups, and stews
  • Pasta, pasta sauce, and rice
  • Canned beans, fruits, and vegetables
  • Baby formula and diapers

We’ll be accepting non-perishable donations in Whistler Olympic Plaza on Race Day, and at the post-race Awards Ceremonies.

The Whistler 50 Relay & Ultra would not be possible without everyone’s contributions! Due to the extended duration of the event, every team is required to provide a volunteer, but we also welcome additional individuals who can assist for a few hours.

More details on volunteering can be found here.

It takes over 180 volunteers make Race Day happen!
