Campbell-Fell and Winter win bronze medals at 2005 Pan Am Juniors Championships

August 1/05—Leading the way was Vancouver Thunderbird Corri-Ann Campbell-Fell as she put aside the distraction of her competitors and hurdled her way to a bronze medal in the women's 400-metre hurdles.

Corri-Ann won the bronze, running 60.64.

"A lot of people were falling around me," said the Vancouver, B.C. native. "I saw a fall and was just like 'Oh my God!' I was trying to ignore people around me and run my own race."

In the 4x400m, the women's team of Bailey Lewis, Corri-Ann Fell, Omoye Ugiabe and Carline Muir ran 3:41.29. The US took gold.

Rounding out the medals for BC, NorWesters Chris Winter capped off his excellent season taking bronze in 8:58.49.
