Host Organizing Committee
BC Summer Games
Nanaimo, BC, August 1st to 4th 2002

The Host Organizing Committee overcame a number of obstacles to provide both a facility and a track and field event which was outstanding. Unable to complete repairs to the jumps and throws facilities, the facilities group for the event managed to find, transport and install all that was needed at the track. The finished stadium was a credit to their hard work and determination and will leave a lasting legacy from the Games.
