• Great rapport with Officials and Athletes
• Willing to officiate at any meet discipline at almost any position
• Attends every event she asked to participate in
• Ready willing and able all the time

2003 DAVID COUPLAND INSPIRATIONAL AWARD
DANIEL MEZHERITSKY

Vancouver, BC

Club: Vancouver Thunderbirds
• organized level III, IV and V officials to officiate at a meet
• provided transportation, coffee, and food for the officials
• provided for some officials who had never officiated in other specific areas to experience and appreciate skills needed in other disciplines.
• organized sponsors for prizes
• provided a positive atmosphere for an excellent competition among the athletes competing
• provided a safe competitive environment especially for athletes who were achieving personal bests in events they were participating in for the first time.
• provided two fun-filled days of competition which the officials enjoyed so much that they requested that the event be held annually.
• epitomizes the very nature of Davey Coupland as an official and as a person by making competition and officiating fun
