2003 Canadian Junior Track & Field Championships:
The Organizing Committee for the 2003 Canadian Junior National Track & Field Championships is hoping you can help them out.
They are looking for bios and digital photos of medal prospects They would like to use this information on their website, in the program book and in direct releases to both local and the national media.
In terms of the photo, a head shot would be preferred, if only one photo is available, they could incorporate both a head shot and action shot if you (or their club) can provide both.
Also, if you are a budding writer and would like to write stories about your juniors planning on coming to Saskatoon for the Championships, they would be happy to post them on the Championships website.

Cross Country in Hawaii:
Aloha Cross Country Canucks,
I know that you are all preparing for the up and coming track season but I thought that I would forward to you a request that came from one of our local Hawaiian high school cross country coaches (please see below).
Last year we worked together to combine the University of Hawaii's Big Wave Cross Country Championship with the Iolani Cross Country Invitational All together we had over 1000 participants and lots of fun! We had music, huli-huli chicken, prizes and awards.
Changes for this year include a new and improved name (The Great Aloha XC Festival) and a new location ... at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course (the picture of me on our website is was taken there). Last year's event was held at the Kualoa Ranch (site of Jurassic Park and other movies made in Hawaii) but the hilly course and wild pigs running around made the course a little too cross country!
Anyway, if you are interested in attending we would love to have you ... the date is Saturday September 20th. Also, I have lost touch (and the e-mail addresses) of many of my other Canadian Coaching colleagues ... if you know of anyone else who might be interested, please feel free to forward this message to them.
Much Aloha & Mahalo,
Carmyn James
