Please make reservations directly with the hotel and refer to the BC
Athletics group rate. In order to be guaranteed the BC Athletics room rate
reservations must be made by January 9, 2006.
It is the intent of BC Athletics to use the website for the
dissemination of as much information, forms, updates etc. as possible. All
of the forms required for the BC Athletics Annual General Meeting and
Awards Banquet will be available on the website in on-line and pdf format.

Workshops to follow the Annual General Meeting:
Note: an on-line sign up form will be available next week. All those
interested in attending are asked to sign up prior to attending the
meetings.

- Information session - 1 hour
An introduction to RJT and its impact at the Club, School and
Community levels. Explanation of the different levels of involvement
and the training/certification process.
- Practical Presentation & Workshop - 2 hours
Introduction and course description for the Level I - Instructor
course
Three modules covered:
- General Athletic Development
- Biomechanics of the Run, Jump, Program using Dartfish technology
- Technical Progressions for Run, Jump & Throw
Fun and Games with RJT and an outline of the requirements to put on
a course.
All participants taking this session will cover some modules of the
RJT course and can complete their training and certification under the
New NCCP in a subsequent weekend course.

Call for Resolutions to the 2006 BC Athletics Annual General Meeting
Forward any and all resolutions that you, your committee, or your club
wish to have brought forth at the Annual General Meeting to the BC
Athletics office by JANUARY 6, 2006. If resolutions are not received by
JANUARY 6, 2006, they can only be brought forth on the floor at the Annual
General Meeting as recommendations to the Board of Directors.

$3,000 Ottawa Race Weekend National Athletic Scholarship for 2006.
Applications should be in by January 16th, 2006.
ABOUT THE NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
This national scholarship is intended to encourage rising stars in the
Canadian running field. In 2005 the National Scholarship ($3,000) was
granted to Rebecca Stallwood, a rising Canadian athlete.
To be eligible, athletes must complete an application in which they
will be required to submit their running resume as well as their monetary
needs for the upcoming academic year. They must be a Canadian citizen and
a full-time student at a post-secondary institution. A jury will decide
based on athletic ability, financial need, volunteerism and scholastic
grades.
The winner is expected to take part in the Ottawa Race Weekend
festivities May 27th and 28th where the award will be given.
Interested runners must complete the application by January 16th,
2006.
