Athletics group rate. In order to be guaranteed the BC Athletics room rate

It is the intent of BC Athletics to use the website for the
dissemination of as much information, forms, updates etc. as possible. All
of the forms required for the BC Athletics Annual General Meeting and

Workshops to follow the Annual General Meeting:
The following workshops will be held at the Vancouver Airport Hilton
beginning at 2:15. Anyone wishing to participate should sign up on-line by
Thursday January 19th at 5:00 pm through the BC Athletics Website.
Workshop #1 - An Introduction to the BC Athletics Electronic Calendar
of Events

- A hands on tutorial for inputting event information into the BCA

Workshop #2 - National On-Line Registration program

- A general introduction to the on-line membership registration
database program
- A PowerPoint demonstration of the system
- A question and answer period geared towards input from participants
regarding their requirements at the club level.
- All BC Club Registrars and/or Club Executive are encouraged to take

Workshop #3 - Road Running Focus Group Workshop targeted to Road
Running Clubs and Road Runners:
An interactive workshop to:
- provide information on current rules and policies relating to Road
Running Club membership with BC Athletics
- provide information on current BC Athletics Individual membership
types that relate to Road Runners
- identification of the challenges to affiliation (with BC Athletics)
as a Club member
- identification of the challenges to affiliation (with BC Athletics)
as an Individual member
- recommendations to address identified challenges to Club affiliation
- recommendations to address identified challenges to Individual
member affiliation

identification of other critical challenges
- recommended action agenda
The intent is that these items would be identified and presented to the
Membership, the BC Athletics Road Running Committee and the BC Athletics
Board of Directors to help in planning and development of Road Running in
British Columbia.
The following workshop will be held at Minoru Pavilion located at the
SW corner of Clement Track - Granville Rd - between Gilbert Rd and Minoru
Blvd.
Workshop #4 - RunJumpThrow

Rachel Dunnet - RunJumpThrow Program Assistant
- Information session - 1 hour
An introduction to RJT and its impact at the Club, School and
Community levels. Explanation of the different levels of involvement
and the training/certification process.
- Practical Presentation & Workshop - 2 hours
Introduction and course description for the Level I - Instructor
course
Three modules covered:
- General Athletic Development
- Biomechanics of the Run, Jump, Program using Dartfish technology
- Technical Progressions for Run, Jump & Throw
Fun and Games with RJT and an outline of the requirements to put on
a course.
All participants taking this session will cover some modules of the
RJT course and can complete their training and certification under the
New NCCP in a subsequent weekend course.
Note: All delegates to the Annual General Meeting must be 2006
members of BC Athletics.

Call for Resolutions to the 2006 BC Athletics Annual General Meeting
Forward any and all resolutions that you, your committee, or your club
wish to have brought forth at the Annual General Meeting to the BC
Athletics office by JANUARY 6, 2006. If resolutions are not received by
JANUARY 6, 2006, they can only be brought forth on the floor at the Annual
General Meeting as recommendations to the Board of Directors.
