You can also print out the form and re-submit it to the BC Athletics office by fax at (604) 737-3171. We will make sure you are not charged twice.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and look forward to getting things back to normal as quickly as possible.

Stacey's favourite experience was vaulting in Morocco in 45 degree temperatures. She enjoys the Smithers track for vaulting as it is a first class venue and there is usually a nice tail wind. She is in a great training environment with some of the best female vaulters in the province. They are great friends and push each other to greater heights. Stacey also helps children get their start in sport as a RunJumpThrow Instructor.

The Canadian Journal for Women in Coaching Reflections of a Winning Coach

The Canadian Journal for Women in Coaching aims to help female coaches share experiences, exchange information, discuss lessons learned, and establish networks by providing an online forum for our leading women coaches to write about their Olympic experiences. The hope is that readers will not only benefit from the shared knowledge, but will also gain valuable insight into the all-encompassing commitment that goes into the making of champions.

Update on the AC Direct Membership Database

All of the 2006 BC Athletics Individual memberships have now been entered on the new, national on-line database system - AC Direct. We are still in the process of tweaking the new system in preparation to hand over membership management to the club registrars. The Membership card production is the last function to be finalized and this is why we have been slow getting them out. I am hoping to get everything up to date within the next two weeks. In the meantime if you need your BC Athletics number or are not sure you've actually applied for your 2006 membership please use the Membership Number Check system now available through our website. It can be found at:

In order to set up AC Direct access for club Registrars we will need verification of who is your official club Registrar for 2006. Club Registrars must ensure that their 2006 BC Athletics memberships are in place prior to being able to use the system. Club Registrars should contact Sam Collier at and verify the following information:

  • Registrar Name
  • Club Affiliation
  • 2006 BCA #
  • Email address
  • Full mailing address
  • Phone contact

Once this information is received we can start setting up access to the system and get all the details out to each club Registrar.

Calendar of Events Ready to be Picked Up

The 2006 Calendars of Events have arrived at the BC Athletics office. All lower mainland clubs (zones 3, 4, and 5) can contact Kristin Carpenter at or 604-737-3175 to arrange a pick up for your club's allotment. All remaining zones have been sent and will be arriving shortly.

Reminder to Meet Directors

This is a reminder to all meet directors to please submit your results as soon as you can following your event so that we can get them onto our website. Be sure to include the official event name, location (city), and date in the body of your message in order for the results to be posted correctly.

In addition, results must include implement weights, hurdle heights, and wind readings (where available) in order to be included in the BC Track and Field Rankings. If no wind index is available for the necessary events (100m, 200m, 100mH, 110mH, long jump, triple jump), the results will be placed under the illegal performance ranking. Year of birth of the athletes is also appreciated for the rankings.
