Website On-Line Registration Form Problems
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The various
online registration and payment forms (with the exception of the
Individual Membership form which is working properly) on the BC Athletics
website have been temporarily suspended. They will be activated shortly
once new programming requirements are dealt with.
We have experienced problems from May 16th. Some
registrations did get through but most didn't. If you are unsure please
contact Sam Collier at sam.collier@bcathletics.org
with details on your submission(s) and she can verify for you. You can
also print out the form and re-submit it to the BC Athletics office by fax
at (604) 737-3171. We will make sure you are not charged twice.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and look
forward to getting things back to normal as quickly as possible.

the end of May the BC Athletics Bulletin Subscriber list did not transfer

Update on the AC Direct Membership Database
All of the 2006 BC Athletics Individual memberships have now been
entered on the new, national on-line database system - AC Direct. We are
still in the process of tweaking the new system in preparation to hand
over membership management to the club registrars. The Membership card
production is the last function to be finalized and this is why we have
been slow getting them out. I am hoping to get everything up to date
within the next two weeks. In the meantime if you need your BC Athletics
number or are not sure you've actually applied for your 2006 membership
please use the Membership Number Check system now available through our
website. It can be found at:
https://www.acdirect.ca/regsearch/get_registration_id.asp?
unit=ATHBC&language=EN&season=2006
In order to set up AC Direct access for club Registrars we will need
verification of who is your official club Registrar for 2006. Club
Registrars must ensure that their 2006 BC Athletics memberships are in
place prior to being able to use the system. Club Registrars should
contact Sam Collier at sam.collier@bcathletics.org
and verify the following information:
- Registrar Name
- Club Affiliation
- 2006 BCA #
- Email address
- Full mailing address
- Phone contact
Once this information is received we can start setting up access to the
system and get all the details out to each club Registrar.
Thanks
Sam Collier
Manager - Registration & Membership Services
Reminder to Meet Directors
This is a reminder to all meet directors to please submit your results
as soon as you can following your event so that we can get them onto our
website. Be sure to include the official event name, location (city), and
date in the body of your message in order for the results to be posted
correctly.
In addition, results must include implement weights, hurdle heights,
and wind readings (where available) in order to be included in the BC
Track and Field Rankings. If no wind index is available for the necessary
events (100m, 200m, 100mH, 110mH, long jump, triple jump), the results
will be placed under the illegal performance ranking. Year of birth of the
athletes is also appreciated for the rankings.
If you have athletes that are part of the paralympic program
competing in your meet you need to send an additional copy of the results
to Jean Laroche at jlaroche@athletics.ca.
