2007 Individual Membership Application Process -
IMPORTANT
BC Athletics began full implementation of the AC Direct national
online database effective October 1, 2006. All members of BC Athletics
affiliated clubs must now submit their BC Athletics membership
applications directly to their club Registrar for processing.
The on-line BC Athletics Membership
application form on the BC Athletics website is only available
for "Unattached" members to use.
Waiver Requirement for all Club Registrars
A waiver form was sent out to all club Registrars. Once the waiver is
completed and signed send it in to the BC Athletics office. You will then
be contacted with log in information for your club. All BC Athletics
memberships for your club members will now be processed on line. Do not
send them in to the BC Athletics office. If you have not received your
waiver contact Sam Collier at sam.collier@bcathletics.org
Membership Update Lists to Sanctioned Events:
BC Athletics will no longer be adding un-processed members to the
Membership Update Lists that are circulated to all BC Athletics sanctioned
events. It is the responsibility of the club Registrar to make sure that
memberships are entered on AC Direct as quickly as possible to be sure
that athlete members names appear on the list.
2007 Calendar of Events Listing Requirements - URGENT:
The BC Athletics staff are now preparing the 2007 Calendar of Events.
It has been requested numerous times that the calendar be produced and
distributed before the following calendar year begins. This can't be
achieved unless Event Directors get their events listed as quickly as
possible on the Calendar of Events System now in place through the BC
Athletics website. In an effort to accomplish this we are asking for your
cooperation and participation. The 2006 event directors have been
contacted by Jenna Nestman to get their info in as quickly as possible. It
is critical that you do so or your event will not appear in the printed
calendar of events. Thank you for your immediate attention to this.
To submit your event information to BC Athletics, use the new event
listing management system (create your own account): www.bcathletics.org/main/eventcal_manage.htm
In order to assist your planning we have put together a preliminary
list of 2007 Track & Field events, including many major championships.
It can be found here: www.bcathletics.org/main/pdf/tfcal07prelim.pdf

Track & Field
Point Grey Community Track Fundraising
In the past year, we have received a great new addition to our
community - a beautiful new turf field and the initial groundwork laid for
a first rate track facility at Point Grey Secondary. Unfortunately, due to
budgetary constraints, the track surrounding the new turf has not been
completed to its full potential.
We are excited to unveil our plans to finally finish the new facility
by building a lit, eight lane rubberized track. This will provide our
community access to first class athletic facilities which will
significantly enhance the surrounding neighborhoods and will boost
business in the area. With the only comparable facility located in
Richmond, we are thrilled about the prospect of completing this
much-needed addition to our community.
We urgently seek your help in making this proposed track facility a
reality.
Here are the ways in which you can help:
- Participate in the Brick Program
- Tax-Deductible Donations
