Nelson RJT team wins in Trail February 11th, 2006
Proud coach and RJT Instructor Sheila Street sends this report:
"The Nelson RJT kids walked into the fieldhouse in Trail, for the meet over the weekend, sporting their brand new brightly colored RJT t-shirts among whispers of "who are they?" and "I hear that team is from Nelson". I had many parents approach me at the meet to ask what was happening in Nelson and to praise the movement of athletics.
"The kids had a great time, they all won first, second and third placed ribbons, in fact we pretty much swept the awards, broke some meet records and then we won the aggregate trophy! So "RJT Nelson" will be forever engraved on the trophy, the local paper will be naming us Team of the Week with a picture of the kids in the paper and all the recognition can only mean better things for Athletics here in the Kootenays. It's a good time to spread RJT around."
