INSERVICE FOR BC SCHOOLS

Run Jump Throw: Developed by Athletics Canada and presented by BC Athletics, RJT is the grassroots development program for our sport. This FUNdamentals program teaches the skills of running, jumping and throwing and the technical skill progressions for track and field events to boys and girls ages 6-12.

Half-Day (for up to 4 classes of maximum 32 children*)

You are provided with:

  • 3 hours of Instruction from a certified Run, Jump, Throw Instructor
  • RJT Equipment bag provided for the 3 hours

Fees

  • $195 + GST
  • *Classroom or PE teacher must be in attendance and provide support to the instructor where needed.

Full-Day (for up to 6 classes of a maximum of 32 children*)

You are provided with:

  • 5 hours of Instruction from a certified Run, Jump, Throw Instructor
  • Equipment bag for the 5 hours
  • 15 minute presentation to staff at lunch hour if desired (program explanation and DVD)

Fees

  • $295 + GST
  • *Classroom/PE teachers must be in attendance and provide support to the instructor where needed

A short instructional /promotional DVD is available for purchase which provides an excellent explanation of why teaching basic skills is so vital in a young child's development and why our sport is the link to so many other sports.

NOTE: Some handouts and course information will be given to the school, but teacher manuals are only provided at Teacher In-service workshops. A RJT equipment bag is available for purchase. Please contact runjumpthrow@bcathletics.org for information on costs and ordering.
