Individuals are encouraged to apply for positions with BC Athletics Teams in the role of Manager. Individuals must meet Coaching Certification and other requirements (detailed below) in order to be considered for positions. Selected Managers will be required to commit to assisting in Team and Individual Athlete Preparation should that be requested.

WOMEN & MEN are encouraged to apply for Team Staff positions. In some instances this may include a process of mentoring for first time BC Team Managers.

Notes: 1) For all BC Teams: BC Athletics will fill all manager positions as necessary. 2) When Teams are competing in BC, every effort will be made to increase the number of BC Team Managers so as to provide BC Team opportunities, experience and mentoring.

Team Managers are selected by the BCA Committees from the applications submitted. The Head Manager is appointed by BC Athletics.

Requirements for Team Staff Consideration

To be considered for any staff positions with BC Athletics Teams you are required to be a current Coach member of BC Athletics, be in good standing, meet the required Coaching Certification requirements and ADHERE TO THE COACHES CODE OF CONDUCT.

  1. Canadian Junior and Senior T&F Championships — Competition Introduction Part A and Part B or Athletics Sport Coach Certified
  2. Legion Cdn Youth T&F Championships and Camp — Competition Introduction Part A and Part B or Athletics Sport Coach Certified
  3. Cdn 10k Road Running Championships — Competition Introduction Part A and Part B or Athletics Sport Coach Certified
  4. Cdn Half Marathon and Marathon Championships — Competition Introduction Part A and Part B or Athletics Sport Coach Certified
  5. Canadian Cross Country Championships — Competition Introduction Part A and Part B or Athletics Sport Coach Certified
  6. Canada Summer Games — Competition Introduction Part A and Part B or Athletics Sport Coach Certified

Please Note: Team Staff are expected to be present at the BC Team Selection Competition(s).
