BC Junior Development Cross Country Championships
EligibilityAll BC Athletics Competitive, Recreation, Masters, School Club, School District Club and Day of Event Members are eligible to compete in these Championships. NOTE: To be eligible for awards, Juvenile, Junior & Senior participants must be annual Athlete Members, School Club, or School Day of Event members. School Club members and School Day of Event members must represent their school. BC Athletics MembershipBC Athletics requires that all participants in events sanctioned by BC Athletics must have BC Athletics Membership (or equivalent from another Province or Country). To provide for this and to give complete insurance coverage a school or individual may take advantage of one of the following choices:
AwardsSeparate awards will be given for males and females for each age division: 9-15, Juvenile, Juniors, Seniors, Masters and All Comers races. All Comers Race: Medals to first 3 finishers, men & women. Ribbons 4th to 8th. 9-15 Championships: BC Athletics medals to individual 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each category (i.e. years 1992 to 1998 - Boys & Girls). Ribbons for 4th to 8th place. BC Championships: BC Athletics medals to individual 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each competitive category i.e. Juvenile, Junior, Senior, Masters – Men & Women (including competitive members from other provincial and foreign associations). CASH PRIZESBC Athletics is pleased to announce that prize money will be provided to Men's and Women's Open and Masters Age groups in the Provincial Cross Country Championships.
Junior Scholarship: $100 scholarships will be presented to the male & female winners of the Junior (18 & 19 yr old) event. Note: Medals in the Masters grouping will be given only to the top 3 overall, not by age category. Ribbons will be mailed out to the first three finishers in each Masters age category. Team Awards to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams:
All team members must be registered with the same club and be Competitive members of BC Athletics (or equivalent from other Province or Country) to score for team competition. JD Overall Club Trophy will be awarded to the Club with the most points from all age divisions. Scoring will be based on top 6 placings in each JD race. Fees and RegistrationNon Athletics Association members ADD $3 to fees listed below.
