Whistler 50 and Local Food Banks

BC Athletics is pleased to announce that a portion of the proceeds from the Whistler 50 Relay and Ultra Event will be donated to and shared equally amongst the Food Banks in the Sea to Sky corridor. The Food Banks identified in 2013 through the Food Banks of British Columbia listing are:

The association of Athletics / Running with the Food Banks links directly with the need for nutritious food for a healthy and physically active lifestyle. Providing financial support to the Food Banks means that for each dollar donated the Food Banks can buy $3.00 worth of food.

You can also help the Food Banks by Donating Non-perishable food.

Whistler 50 Relay and Ultra Runners Can Help Directly

In addition to this financial contribution BC Athletics is asking that if possible each Whistler 50 participant and/or collectively each team bring a non-perishable food item(s) to donate to the Food Bank. BC Athletics will ensure that these items are delivered to the Food Banks as identified or as arranged for following the event.

When dropping off the non-perishable food item(s) please be sure to attach a completed Whistler 50 Food Donation FormPDF format. Leave it with the Coordinator of the Whistler 50 Food Bank Food Donations.
