 #9. Sandcastle City Classic 10k
Sunday, June 8, 2008
Start:
- Crescent Park Elementary School at 128th Street and 24th Avenue
- 9:00 am sharp
Course Description:
- From the school, gradually winds around the peninsula onto Marine
Drive and down to the beautiful White Rock waterfront, finishing at
the bottom of first hill by High Street.

Parking:
- Parking is available at the west end of Marine Drive. Board the
shuttle buses to take you to the start area. Buses will run from
7:30am to 8:15am. Last bus leaves at 8:30am and there is very
limited parking at the start.
- Parking directions: From Hwy 99, take the 8th Ave exit off the
freeway. Turn left onto King George Highway, then right on 8th Ave.
Proceed to the parking area at the west end of the beach.

Rock
Day of race registration:
- 7:00am to 8:15am at Bayside Park at the west end of the beach only.
No day of race credit card or Interac.
Package Pickup:
- Friday, June 6, 4:00pm to 8:00pm or Saturday, June 7, 10:00am to
5:00pm at Peninsula Runners, 1708-152nd Street, White Rock.
- Race day June 8, 7:00am to 8:15am at Bayside Park at the west end of
the beach.
- Note: You must pick up your package before boarding the buses. There
will be no package pickup or late registration at the school start
area.
Entry Fees:
- Regular entry up to June 7: $25
- Day of Race: $30
- BC Athletics members deduct $3
- Heavyweight cotton T-shirt with Sandcastle logo add $13 (view at
Peninsula Runners)
- Entries received by May 25 get shirts by race day. Others available
after the race.
- Fees payable to Semiahmoo Sunrunners.
Awards and Race Features:
- Awards to top 3 in each age group
- Sandcastle Trophies to top male and female overall
- Grand prize draw for a mountain bike, courtesy of O'Hagans Peninsula

- 2 pairs running shoes and lots of other draw prizes
