Oktoberfest Finish Line Party Announced!

Whistler 50 is excited to announce a new partnership with Whistler Cooks, resulting in a great new way for runners to celebrate at the 2016 Whistler 50 Relay & Ultra. Thanks to the support of Whistler Cooks, the Resort Municipality of Whistler, and the Province of British Columbia, Whistler 50 participants can now enjoy an Oktoberfest Finish Line Party in Whistler Olympic Plaza!

Starting at 2:00pm under the Pavilion, Whistler Cooks will serve racers and volunteers their choice of a smokie sausage topped with sauerkraut or falafel with hummus. Soon-to-be-opened Coast Mountain Brewing will also be on site, meaning that racers can enjoy locally brewed craft beer to celebrate their accomplishments. Additional food will also be available for purchase in the party area.

A DJ will be spinning tunes throughout the afternoon and into the evening until the Awards Ceremony begins. Top ultra competitors and relay teams will be recognized at the Finish Line Party after the final participants cross the finish line. The party will wrap up around 7:00pm and racers can then enjoy a night out on the town in Whistler Village!
