Outstanding athlete: Carmen Ballard middle distance and cross country

Penticton Athletics formerly Ok-Skaha Track and Field Club continues to operate with growth in the area of middle distance.

Outstanding athlete Jeff Symonds 3000m and steeple

Highland Track in Salmon Arm is still active as is Trail Track and Field Club in Trail. It seems hard to attract and keep athletes in the Summer Games age groups when it is the off year.

Road Running

Penticton Pounders, the Kelowna Running Club and Shuswap Hill Runners are active in the interior road running series. Each also hosts a number of events. Other groups that are involved are the Kamloops Ridge Runners, and the Kootenay Lake Running Club (formerly Kootenay Lake Joggers).

As I am no longer living in the interior, and my term as a director is up, I will be resigning from this position.
