2003 Western Canada Games –
Important Information
BC Athletics has identified a Long List of potential team members for the
2003 Western Canada Games, August 6 to 10, Selkirk, Manitoba. This long
list was compiled from the current BC Athletics Track & Field
Rankings, BC Junior Team Members and other athletes identified by coaches.
Athletes can be added to this list. If you have a name to add to the list
please contact BC Athletics at: bcathletics@bcathletics.org
or phone: 604-737-3177. We need to have a complete name and email address.
This is a multi-sport games and the team competition between the Western
Canadian Provinces and Territories.
Athletics is for those athletes 23 & under as of December 31, 2003.
Those athletes 16-23 are eligible for consideration for the BC Team. The
team trial meet is July 12-13, 2003 in Langley. The weight implements and
hurdle heights are the Senior Age Group Technical Standards. See the BC
Athletics website for the meet information and the selection criteria for
this team. www.bcathletics.org/main/sportspecific.htm.
Athletes who are on the Long List need to immediately complete the
following information and forms on the on-line registration system:

2. Media - information for the media guide.
3. Medical - a 4 pager of required medical information. This is always
done for each Games.
4. Photo - digital photograph - head and shoulders of the athlete.
Email Address: Please check, on the Team BC Registration, that we have
your correct email address. You can change it on the registration list. If
you do change it please send us you new email address. Thank you.

formatting.
Or if you are registered with a PacificSport Centre in your region, you
can email them, and ask for a copy of your electronic photo.
Also, photos will be taken at the July 12/13 meet in Langley. But we hope
to have photos before that.
