Membership | General
I paid $5 for my membership. Do I get $3
discounts at sanctioned races?
You have to be an "Athlete"
member to get the discounts (see membership info). Your
$5 membership is Social/Fitness and does not entitle you to the $3 discounts. You
can upgrade your membership at any time by submitting a new membership
form and paying the difference.
How is age determined for memberships?
Your age category will be determined by the age you will be on
December 31st in the year of competition. i.e. in 2003 someone born
December 30, 1987 is a Juvenile (age 16) for all competitions held
between January 1st and December 31st 2003.
When do memberships expire each year?
Individual Memberships expire
on December 31st each year.
Exception - a first time member signing up
between October 1st and December 31st will get a 15 month membership
which will go through to the end of the next year.
Club Memberships expire December 31st each year.
School Club and School District memberships
run from September 15th through to the end of the school year - June
30th.
Within an BCA affiliated club, who needs to be an
individual member of BC Athletics?
All individual members of a BC Athletics affiliated club must hold
an individual membership with the Association.

When is the BC Athletics office open?
The BC Athletics office is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday
through Friday. It is open all year round except for the week between
Christmas and New Years and on the following holidays:
Good Friday
Easter Monday
Victoria Day
Canada Day
BC Day
Labour Day
Thanksgiving Day
Remembrance Day
