Track & Field Meets — Entry/Results set up for inclusion in the Provincial and National Rankings

Hy-Tek users wanting to ensure their results are eligible for inclusion in provincial and national results and rankings must set up their meets in a specific way. Instructions for setting up a meet in Hy-Tek are available here | PDF version here (310 KB)

Meets must ensure the weight/hurdle heights used are clearly stated in the event comments. Creating separate events per weight or hurdle height can still be run together in Hy-tek as one race but selecting the option to have them run together. Meet results that do not clearly indicate weight/hurdle heights used by each athlete will not be accepted for records, rankings, team selection or for posting.

Creating separate events per weight or hurdle height can still be run together in Hy-tek as one race by selecting the option to have them run together.

Once the meet is set up a Hy-Tek download file is available from BC Athletics containing the required information for all BC Athletics competitive members. In order to receive the download please contact sam.collier@bcathletics.org. The download file will be updated every week leading up to your meet.

Athletes from other provinces need to provide an Athletics Canada/Provincial membership number when entering the meet or their performances will not be included in the national rankings.

Results files are to be sent in to sam.collier@bcathletics.org and once verified will be forwarded to the Tracki.me Results Management System.

The following event files are to be submitted to BC Athletics:

  • HTML results file
  • Meet Hy-Tek backup
  • Alphabetical list of athletes in the meet showing affiliation
