NCCP Sport Coach Course

Date: Sunday, September 27th, 8:30 am-5pm

Location: Rotary Stadium, 32470 Haida Dr, Abbotsford

This introductory course provides coaches with the foundational knowledge and skills required to coach a variety of Track and Field events. Participants will learn basic event-specific technical skills, effective practice planning, and important safety considerations.

The course is ideal for coaches working with introductory and intermediate-level athletes in a multi-event environment, such as Junior Development club programs or school-based Track and Field programs.

During the in-person workshop, participants will receive instruction in:

• Sprints, Starts, and Hurdles
• Relays
• Endurance Events
• Jumping Events
• Throwing Events
• Introduction to Supplemental Strength Training appropriate for young, developing athletes
