Coaches in British Columbia

Coaches are an extremely important part of an athlete's success. BC Athletics strives to provide increased coaching education services, effective professional development opportunities, and other opportunites to build stronger coaches. In BC, coaches have the ability to train for programs ranging from RunJumpThrowWheel to high performance teams. Every year, 15-20 coaches are chosen as team staff to represent BC as a member of our BC Team program. With over 400 coach members in our ranks, BC Athletics is always looking at the recruitment of new and talented coaches.

Coaching education is the backbone of BC Athletics athlete development. Great coaches build great athletes. BC Athletics offers courses in the Competition Introduction stream (Sport Coach and Club Coach) plus the Competition Development stream (Performance Coach) of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
