Coaching Awards
BC Athletics recognizes annually our coaching members through the Excellence in Coaching Awards. Coaches can be awarded in the Junior Development, U16 & U18, U20& Senior and High Performance Coach categories. Nominations received will be forwarded to the BC Athletics Track & Field Committee for final selection.

U16 Annual Athlete Awards
The U16 Annual Athlete Awards are awarded to the Top Female and Male athletes in each of the two age categories. Award nominees and award recipients are selected by the BC Athletics Track & Field Committee. For any questions, please contact the Program Manager for Track & Field.
Athlete of the Year Awards | U18 / U20 / Senior
The BC Athletics Athlete of the Year Award is awarded to the Top Female and Male athletes in the U18, U20 and Senior age categories. Award nominees and award recipients are selected by the BC Athletics Track & Field Committee. For any questions, please contact the Program Manager for Track & Field.
Athlete of the Year Awards | Para
The BC Athletics Para Athlete of the Year Award is awarded to the Top Female and Male athlete in the Para division of athletics. Award winners are selected by the BC Athletics Track & Field Committee through consultation with BC Wheelchair Sports and BC Blind Sports.
Athlete of the Year Awards | Masters
The BC Athletics Masters Athlete of the Year Award is awarded to the Top Female and Male athletes in a TRACK and FIELD events in the Masters age categories. Award nominees and award recipients are selected by the BC Athletics Masters Committee. For any questions, please contact the BC Athletics Masters Committee.
Road Running Athletes
The BC Athletics Road Running Athlete of the Year award is awarded to the Top Male and Top Female athletes in the U20, Senior and Masters age group categories. Award Finalists and Award Winners are selected by the BC Athletics Road Running Committee for U20and Senior age group athletes, based on the 2021 season up to and including November performances.
Masters Road Running Athletes
In the Masters age category, award finalists and award winners are selected by the BC Masters Committee.
Cross Country Athletes
The BC Athletics Cross Country Athlete of the Year Awards is awarded to the Top Male and Top Female in the U16, U18, U20, Senior and Masters age group categories. The U16, U18, U20 and Senior award recipients are selected by the BC Athletics Cross Country Committee, based on the 2021 season and including the Canadian National Cross Country Championships.
Masters Cross Country Athletes
Nominations and Award Recipients in the Masters category are selected by the BC Athletics Masters Committee.
Officials Awards
BC Athletics recognizes annually our officials' members through the Excellence in Officiating Awards. Categories in the Excellence in Officiating Awards include:
- The Ian MacNeil Award (Official of the Year)
- The Ralph Coates Award (Longstanding Service)
- The Mary Temple Award (Novice Official)
- The Dave Copeland Award (Most Inspirational)
Officials must be nominated via nomination form.
Executive and Jane Swan Awards
Executive & Jane Swan Award
BC Athletics is pleased to recognize the tireless efforts of our Volunteers and Club members for their work in the BC Athletics Community. Club Volunteers, Organizers and Builders are an important part of BC Athletics. They are recognized through the Executive of the Year Award which is voted on by the BC Athletics Board and Staff and awarded at the BC Athletics Annual Awards Banquet. They are also recognized through the Jane Swan Award for long time service to Junior Development programs, voted on by the Junior Development Committee.

Hall of Fame
Nomination to the BC Athletics Hall of Fame is open to individuals/teams (Olympic/Paralympic Streams) who have shown outstanding excellence in the sport of Athletics - Track & Field, Road Running, Marathons/Ultras, Cross Country/Trail/Mountain Running and Race Walking.
