Quick Guides for Community Level Officials
Quick Guides for Community Level Officials
The following Quick Guides have been produced by the BC Athletics Officials Committee and other senior officials. They are intended for new officials and host organizing committees to ensure more standardized and professional officiating for track and field meets.
The officials committee recognizes that because of the shortage of credentialed officials, club or school volunteers will sometimes be placed in positions where they must officiate without formal training or mentoring. Therefore, the officials committee encourages the use of these guidelines by all host organizing committees. Host organizing committees can enhance their meets by providing meet volunteers with copies of the decorum guidelines and the guidelines document for the event in which they will be volunteering.
