Introductory Programs Coordinator Announced

Welcome to Kala Stone, the new Introductory Programs Coordinator at BC Athletics!


BC Athletics is excited to announce that we have hired Kala Stone as the next Introductory Programs Coordinator at BC Athletics.  Kala comes to the position with a wealth of knowledge and experience in Athletics, having been a member of BC Athletics from a young age as part of the Kamloops Track & Field Club, and then pursuing collegiate Cross Country and Track & Field at Arizona State University from 2013-2015, and then completing her degree in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria in 2020.


Since then, Kala has worked as a Kinesiologist, Sessional Lecturer at UVic and has been the Assistant Coach and Team Manager for the University of Victoria Vikes Cross Country and Track & Field Program.  Additionally, she is the Coordinator for the Junior Vikes program which is aimed at introducing youth to running in Victoria.


The Introductory Programs role will be responsible for leading Run, Jump, Throw, Wheel outreach programs, and RJTW coach education training throughout the province and supporting Clubs with Junior Development programming and Provincial Championships. 


Kala will be based out of Victoria, and looks forward to connecting with athletes, coaches, and club leaders throughout the province.
